1 Soil Preparation
Potato grows best in well drained sandy loam soil. Farmers should plough the field properly and mix organic manure before planting.

Healthy and disease free seed tubers should be used for planting. Certified seeds give better yield and reduce disease problems.
3 Planting Method
Potato tubers are planted in rows with spacing of about 60 cm between rows and 20 cm between plants.
